Dear Parents and Students:

The objective of Dar Al-Arkam is to provide students with an Islamic environment
which they can associate with within the American society.  Students are instilled
with love and respect for Islam by learning the Quran and Sunnah and also
interacting with Muslim teachers and students.  Part of this objective is met by the
Islamic dress code which is required for the students and teachers.

DRESS CODE:

All students are required to wear proper Islamic clothing.  Clothing must be loose
fitting.  Students are not allowed to wear t-shirts with logos.  Sport-shoes are
preferred.
Boys: Long trousers and loose shirts (or traditional ethnic clothing) are required.
Girls:
Ages 10 & Under:  Long trousers or below the knee skirts with loose shirts.
Also, the students are required to bring a scarf (hijab) for Salat and Quran
    class.
Ages 10 & Over:  Ankle-length trousers or skirts, long shirts which cover the
hips (or traditional ethnic clothing) are required. Girls are required to wear
head scarves (hijab) that cover all their hair.

It is our hope that we guide our children in the proper way to please Allah
subhanahu wa talla in all aspects of life so that they will reap benefits in this life
and the Hereafter inshallah.
